No, I'm a tonsillectomy at age 7 years and I still had sleep apnea (I am now mid-30). The best treatment is to consult with your doctor for a sleep test done. I received the diagnosis of sleep apnea in 2006. Now I sleep with a CPAP machine at night that forces air into my lungs to breathe in the night. Now I can sleep well at night without waking up dozens of times.
